Some words put together

For my third post on this blog I will try to be honest about my writing... skills.Well, I'll start with my weaknesses as a writer because it's much easier to identify them from the strenghts.The biggest problem I stumbled upon so far is my English vocabulary which really lacks words that are not used in formal English language.I found myself many times in the situation of wanting to write something and when I am halfway through the phrase I just have to stop because I can't find that word which will give meaning to what I have to say.My next weakess will definitely be the use of comas.I know where to put them in obvious situations like enumerations but when it comes to long  phrases I just have to read that phrase a few times before I can manage to find the right spot for the coma/comas.And I'm not  really sure if it's correct .It's really annoying sometimes.
I guess that as time passes I'll get better at writing  but until then I have to be patient and willing to work harder.

Second Post

With this second post I'm trying to summarize my activity during this week.Well, I must say that in our Introduction to Literature class we started discussing about Homer's 'The Odyssey'.I thought that reading the book will be very difficult but my expectations didn't turn out to be true.
For my next weeks' Writing Skills class I must submit my first assignment and I must say that I am a little bit nervous about it.It is like a first English language test for me.
As a conclusion for this week and the weeks before I must say that I am very happy with the subjects I chose to study.

First impression

Yet another week has passed. But this last week is not as "unlucky" as other weeks to just add to my memory lane and be part of it .This week and the impressions related to it are lucky enough to stay online on my blog as the next 9 weeks that will come.
I must say that I am a happy student.Why do I think that? Just because my first lecture on Monday starts at 5 PM.And it's followed by a screening related to the topics discussed previously in the lecture.
This week's Introduction to Film lecture was about "Complex Narrative and Film Grammar" a topic which I enjoyed because it helps me understand the birth of modern cinematography.On Tuesday I had my first Enlightment class of the term and I must say I am looking forward to the next Enlightment classes because they are about Rene Descartes's "Discourse on Method".On Wednesday I was I little bit nervous because I missed my previous Writing Skills class.It actually turned out to be wonderful.I hope the next Writing Skills classes are at least as good as this one.
Thursday and Friday's Introduction to Literature classes were about the "Epic of Gilgamesh" which was not as interesting as I thought it will be.Actually, none of my colleagues enjoyed it and all of them had a smile on their faces when they heard that next week we will be discussing about Homer's "The Odyssey"...
